Dave I use the propane nozzles all the time, they up much easier to get the propane going than with a conventional acetylene nozzle. Like you my ripples are not good, I agree it is technique as I get the same result using acetylene. Dave

Dave I bought a set of 4 Oxy-Propane tips, a 3N, 5N, 8N and a 10N and of these I use the 5N as the general purpose tip. I've added a photo of the tips in order, 5N is missing, it's on the handset, to show the recessed ends that are a feature of the Oxy-Propane tips. I believe its function is to stop the flame's tendency to drift off the end as can happen if an Oxy-Acetylene tip is used in lieu. Jim
