Hi all. I am a new member interested in model engineering. Very interested in getting into cnc a bit more. I have a small mill running mach 3 and would like to eventually convert my Harrison M250 lathe. I have quite a well equipped workshop and live in the Manchester area. I am currently building a 3" scale Maclaren Traction Engine. Hopefully there are plenty of people on here with a lot more knowledge than myself. That shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Dave C

If you live in the North Manchester area, you might like to think of joining us at the Rochdale Society. As well as the usual loco builders we have 3 or 4 traction engine builders. Why not look in at our Springfield Park track (going out of Rochdale on the road to Heywood) any Sunday between say 1 and 4. Just walk in through the gate and introduce yourself. John

Thanks very much. I do work away from home a lot but I will definitely call in when I get the chance. Much appreciated Dave

I'm jealous of your traction engine! Please supply lots of photos for us to drool over!
Welcome to the forum. There is a wide knowledge base; some know lots about everything, some are subject matter experts, and the rest of us just try to soak up what we can!
