It has been a while, nearly a year since my last post here. I eventually got around to converting my existing underframe and bogies to be a Tourn lookalike. The size was restrained by the frame which is 1100mm long whereas for scale it needed to be 1279mm long, so just a little short. The width was just right. So here it is still some work to be done like the buffer heads and the internal fitout to be a driving wagon. That is the reason for the middle bulkhead, to stop the sides splaying when I sit on it. Everything above the frame is "Tournalike" and below is "as is where is". The bolts holding the metalwork to the timber are 9ba round head screws as a friend has a massive pile of them. The timber is drilled 9ba tapping size, the screws self tapped into the timber. Pete
