Hi, just a quick intro
Recently moved to Northern Ireland and live in sin with my Irish partner Kate who I have known for over 20 years. I smoke a pipe and drink Woods navy rum and real ale to add to my sins…..
Have been a model engineer for some 40+ years having built a number of locos. I became very ill 12 years ago, mothballed my workshop and hung up my workshop coat for what I thought would be the last time
Since moving to Limavady, over the past four years with love and care from Kate I have made a remarkable recovery and decided to start again.
I’ve built a brand new workshop to my specifications, bought and installed a new Warco WM18B mill plus essential bits, and today (20th October 2021), the rest of my old workshop arrives from storage on the mainland which includes a Myford Super 7 etc
Once I’ve derusted everything (my sons garage is quite damp it appears) I will set about refurbishing the existing locos (they haven’t run for 12 years)
When all that is done, I’ve collected a pile of castings for an 0-6-0 Romulus which will be based on Peter King’s Sophie B design
