I can't help unfortunately but I would be very annoyed at buying the manual from Engineers Emporium and finding a missing section. That's hardly "fit for purpose" is it. Are they not able to help further? It's not a loco I've seen around so I'm guessing Winsons didn't sell many, hence the lack of replies. Ian

I contacted engineers emporium to ask about the missing sections of the book and they replied “that’s all the information we have “ at £40 for the book that wasn’t the answer I was expecting.its not as tough I can send it back as I do need it to complete the train .

Hi, I have just bought a Winson pug that needs some significant work . Does anyone have a source if drawings/ building instructions so I can do something about reworking the one I now have?

I can comment from what I have seen of the Modelworks Britannia document set. The manual shows a builder how to put together the set of parts delivered but there are few dimensions or drawings in the conventional sense. I certainly never referred to that document.
I assume that most other Modelworks manuals are the same. Their Britannia was based on the Perrier Britannia drawings, with most all dimensions being the same and the addition of some castings and the change of all screws to metric sizes. I would suspect that all Modelworks engines are based on previous designs with the same production changes.
Your best bet is to find what the original drawing set for the L&Y Pug was (I don't know) and buy a set of those. Then you can rebuild/restore it to the condition that the original designer intended.
