Not something I would want to do I keep the woodturning at one end of the workshop and metal working at the other and then that is covered up when turning wood. Wood dust and oil not a good combination

Wood dust and oil not a good combination Good way of mopping up those little splits of oil. I guess also fairly benign on the lathe bed/tray.

We just had 12 very tall trees removed from our garden and I just picked up a small piece, for a laugh! There's now so much light in my workshop that I'm going to save a fortune on leccy!

There's now so much light in my workshop that I'm going to save a fortune on leccy! I know that feeling last year before erecting a new workshop the old one was in the shadow of one big conifer the trunk was over 3 1/2ft diameter. Let so much more light in. The only advantage was it kept the workshop bearable on hot days
