Just a note to to say it is the Sheffield and District club Gala and open weekend this coming weekend , 2nd and 3rd July. Guests and visitors on Saturday and open to the public on Sunday. If you would like to attend on either day make yourself known to me, Mike Cawthorne, on the modelling table in the club rooms and I will get you signed in as a guest. The club rooms are just after the Abbeydale Industrial Museum on Abbeydale Road on the right coming out of town. Look for a yellow poster advertising the event outside the car park entrance. If you get lost contact me on 07470 461000.

Enjoyed a few hours today at Sheffield - good to see Mike along with Pete and Tony and a host of visitors some of which are familiar faces now. It's a lovely track and I must take a loco next time even if only the Simplex. Special mention to the ladies in the cafe who did delicious cobs and fabulous cakes, much too hard to resist!

Just a quick note to say that this years Gala is this weekend 13th and 14th July. Directions are the same as for my previous post, any problems give me a ring on my mobile.
