Drill chuck cleaning

The drill chuck i use in the lathe is beginning to 'bind' at certain points when i tighten or loosen it

Can this be dismantled to bive all the thrdeads etc a thorough cleansing, or will it be a better bet to purchase a new one?

That's a very handy video!! Thanks for posting it Wilf. I have some spare Jacobs 1/2" chucks that could do with servicing. I shall have to have a go with one.
