Workshop Clearance

Hi All. I have been contacted by a guy who has inherited a workshop and contents which he wants to get cleared. He does want some money for it all, but would rather sell at reasonable price to a Model Engineer or MES that will use it, rather than to a dealer. He contacted me through my SELondon MES website as he lives in London. I said I would go and have a look if it was local, but it is in Hampshire. If anyone is interested, pm me with contact details and I will pass these in too him. I have asked if he can give me to town where it is located as Hampshire is rather large to travel down if it’s in Portsmouth and you live in Basingstoke. If he comes back with the location, I will post it.

I suppose when you don’t know anything about engineering, or even that there are dedicated magazines for model engineers, you just reach out to clubs in and around your home. Cannot understand why he didn’t google for those in Hampshire. At least that would have brought up Fareham.

I’ve contacted Fareham by e-mail and posted here. That and the advice I gave him by e-mail are the length of the effort I can afford.

There seems a rush on this sort of thing. I have been helping the daughter and a mutual friend to dispose of her father's workshop and while he had some nice kit, he had some junk and I have finally persuaded her to junk the junk. Have also listed some of the good bits in the for sale section
And I am a Fareham member!!
