I notice that Mr Evans gives a choice for the 3/8" boiler tubes between 22 swg and 20 swg. Any thoughts on this? Better efficiency for the 22g due to bigger inside diameter, or more strength with the 20g?
Thoughts please!

Having seen a club member wreck his boiler with over-vigorous tube cleaning, I'd vote for the more robust ones.

I think he got the brush jammed in and destroyed the tube yanking it out. The story continues badly, as the boiler was sent for repair, which was bodged - so our inspectors declined to test it.
It does end well (after all sorts of twist and turns) as the owner had his loco pass its steam test yesterday
