Can anybody point me in the direction of where i can get some spring steel from. ideally i want some 0.7 and 0.9 mm x 3/8" (yuck, mixed measurements) either soft or hard. Or a part cut sheet (s) in the right thinkness and i can cut it myself. Its for leaf springs for a 7 1/4" loco
Thanks

Have a look on ebay, there's a chap selling all sizes of spring steel, I've had .030" x 3/8" off him several times, I can't think of his name, but I'll dig through my records, off hand I got a 1kg coil for about a tenner, give him a try

Or you could do what a clubmate of mine did and cut up an old cross-cut wood saw. He said it was absolutely excellent material for the job.
