I just got a new to me resin printer, an Anycubic . It hasn't been used very much and as the resin was pretty old, the previous owner disposed of it. I do understand that perfectly. One of the reasons it wasn't used much is that "it's very smelly". But looking on the net I found that these days they have "low odour" resins and even water based resins.
If any of you here are using such printers, what would you advise? Stay with the "standard" stuff or go with some of the more recent low odour/water based resins? Or start with the standard to get to know the thing and then switch?

Hi Johan,
I use anycubic water wash resin but I clean it in IPA still. It still smells, they all do but actually the IPA is probably worse.
I have a container I rinse everything in as soon as I take it off the build plate and then a wash and cure after that. It means the IPA in the W&C will last longer.
I have added a few extras to make life a bit easier on mine.
Added a flex plate to the build plate for easy removal of parts. Put anycubic filters in the build area Added a Chitu Systems fan heater to keep the resin at a stable temperature throughout the print. I’ve also used Lychee for the slicer as found it way better than the anycubic software.
Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. If it doesn't smell worse then ipa I'll go for the water based if it is otherwise just as good.
