I am reluctant to purchase the common cast iron or cast aluminium carriage bogie frames and have decided to take a look at building bogies with steel plate frames with sprung axles. Does anyone know of plans for such things in 7.25 inch or 5 inch?

There are a few designs around. - "Passenger carriage bogies" by Hugh Elsol in Autralian Model Engineering march-april 2010. Simple but unsprung, no brakes, roller bearing. - "You could buils an attractive passenger car" by Martin Evans ME3120. Description in proza, not much drawing. Sprung, roller bearings and both bogies brakes. - Reeves has plans as well.
Can find my notes on others I found (I'm looking to build a second car). There is a series in ME on continuous braked cars. In my club the "diamond bogie" is popular but I don't have plans for those. They look simple but I'm not so keen on bending steel strips.
