Can someone provide details how the top plate on the expansion bracket is meant to fit. The drawing is not clear how the plate is meant to fit around the raised portion of the inner bracket. LMS line drawing doesn't help either.

Hi Mike I will be working on this, probably once winter sets in, so I was interested to look at the drawings. DRG.No. 6 is not at all clear so I agree with you, especially with the need for ribs to replicate the casting webs. I have got the parts for the expansion link bracket supplied by Model Engineers Laser and their drawing makes things a bit clearer. It looks like DY has drawn the top plate incorrectly as it needs to be 'handed' to clear the raised hump on the inner bracket part. I have scanned the drawings so that others might comment if they wish and the MEL drawing will help you see how to modify that top plate profile. I can still see a fiddle required to add the ribbing needed to replicate a casting and add strength. Norm
