Water scoop & handbrake columns have ribbed maintainance vents. According to the LL&S there should be four vets, yet the drawing is hatched all through suggesting only two vents ? At the tender assembly stage and already made columns with four vents. Any help would be appreciated I was a fireman on these loco's in the 1960's and the memory doesn't serve me well for that period.

Have you got the Wild Swan Loco Profile on the Crabs? Well worth getting if modelling one of these locos.
I don't have my copy to hand, but from memory, not all the Fowler tenders had the vents in the same place. There were at least two possible locations - in the coal space or behind the coal space. Maybe the hatched ones on your drawing are an amendment showing how they were relocated?
I expect you saw mist varients of the Fowler tenders in your time!
Best wishes

Thanks for the reply, yes I have The No2 Loco profiles The Horwich Crab. And having studied the tender drawings again after some time i'm comvinced that there are four maintainance vents to the brake and water scoop colunms. Continuing with assembly. Thank you.
