Virginia modifications?

Hi,

I am in the process of constructing a 3.5" Virginia.

However I did hear that in a later version of the small boiler version that LBSC had modified the drawings to add some weight under the firebox as an aid to adhesion on the track?

Does anyone know of this mod or have any details on it?

I know nothing of this, but i hope you hven't made your boiler yet, the springs need to be lowered and the boiler set higher to fit between the frames.Built one back in 1976, ran nice and a very good steamer.
