Try again Brian, with feeling!!! I cannot attach the picture I wanted to. Would anyone who thinks they might be able to identify the 0-6-0T which was 'in residence' at LBSC's house in the early 70's. contact me and I will email the picture to them? Cheers Brian

Re - LBSC mystery loco; Iam fairly sure this loco is " MOLLYETTE" , aloco reffered to by LBSC in an article written by him in the 1920's, "The shortcomings of of spirit fired engines",as is well known he did not like spirit fired engines, and, he spoke out against them many times. If my memory serves me correctly it is pictured in an article in Model Engineer in 1924,I think he was doing some modifications to it's burner to improve it's steaming capbilities. Ihope this will go some way to clear up this mystery. Cheers Steammadman

According to Hollingsworth list of LBSC designs Mollyette was an O gauge loco. However there is at least one error in gauge for the designs listed that I know of so this may be another. The picture doesn't look at all like a small molly. The boiler and cab arre totally wrong. Just found a picture of the Mollyette in the hollingsworth book and it looks just like a small molly and nothing like the mystery loco. So the mystery still remains.

Hi there Guys,
If you read through the Hollingsworth book, he also mentions the fact that LBSC didn't always describe the model in the same gauge as the version that he was building!
This may be relevant here.
Yours,
Rich.
