Very good pictures indeed;lovely locomotives too,and I like the railway you were running over. I had a few probs posting photos on this site at first, but I found Photobucket did work. What worked was to left click on the "img" box under the thumbnail pic in Photobucket. Then right click and select "Copy".Move back to this forum, and right click again and select "Paste" where you want to place your photo. It does all that stuff for you.

Hi Simon Would I be right in saying that one of those (the one nearest the camera ) was built by John Adams?

Hi Andy, Yep, No.7 is one of the John Adams trio....well spotted. It belongs to Don Witheridge,....as does the Railway.....and several other John Adams locos,.....which incase anyone was wondering are totally stunning. The Duchess's are in my opinion the finest models ever built. A strong claim I know. Try this link if you want to drule!: 725.gaxx.co.uk/Galleries/tabid/82/Default.aspxand then click 'next screen' at the bottom. There is one gallery in there with some nice pics of the man himself. Cheers all. Simon

Hi Simon Yes the Duchess's are truly stunning, what happened to "Windsor Lad" the A3 built by John that was exquisite. I guess those 6 wheel GNR coaches are from the Jameson collection then.

There were actually 2 Adams 'Windsor Lads' Don has one, along with his Adams Flying Scotsman,....which is really just gready!! ;-) Always surprised me that two ended up as Windsor Lad,....surely one of the least inspiring A3 names,.....when I buy one of em....(!)......I will rename it 'Papyrus' or 'Flamingo'.....or my personal favourite 'Salmon Trout'! The A3's are brilliant models, but when you put one next to one of the Duchesses..... If you have never seen one of them, you should try to make the effort to go. Seeing is believing as they say!
and the GNR 6 wheelers are the adams family built ones that you mention. Some things just make it obvious that I need to get rich!
