Following a recent vandal attack on our club track, news was received from a third hand source, some 15 miles away that they had heard we would likely to be out of action for best part of this new season. Just to point out that the damage sustained will be repaired before the end of this week and everything should be up and running once again. Problem was caused by 'joy-riders' (what a misinformed term that is!) crashing a stolen car into the track once access had been obtained into the park via a very narrow footbridge. Some sixteen feet of the track was demolished, luckily no permanent damage was done to the concrete support post that was in the centre of the area, just that it was lifted off of the base block. What a shame that crime and vandalism has become part of everyday life nowadays.
Glad to hear that you will be back to normal so quickly.

Thanks Alan for your comments.
Good to report that following a good input of effort from four of our members we now have virtually completed the repairs. Just need some rolling tests with a loco and passenger car to prove alignments and super-elevation and then we can say we have finished. Always good to see the response from some members when in need of some concentrated effort at the track.
Regards to all, Stan.
