Can anyone help I have the drawings for a 3" Boiler designed by Tubal Cain 17-10-75 which I obtained from Reeves what I need is some instructions to go with the drawing, does anyone know where I can get some Reeves tell me that there are none but maybe somewhere in a ME magazine there was some write up.

I suspect you are right Uzzy, it is almost sure to have been written up in ME at the time. You'll just have to get a pile of mags from that era & start leafin' thru' 'em.

The boiler is part of a series on a simple steam plant but I think was for a small stationary engine and boiler. The boiler appeared in Model Engineer issue 3437 page 285. There is some further info on the simple steam plant in 3438 page 346 and the conclusion is in issue 3439 page 372. I dont have those issues to be able to refer to them but they are in the ME Index, hope this is of some use.  |

Thanks for this I've just been and had a look at my old ME only to find they start at No 3720 does anyone have copies 3437,3438 and 3439 which I could beg photocopies of the articles that relate to this particular boiler.

You could try your local Model engineering club, I know of at least three clubs that have copies of Model Engineer going back to when Pontius was a pilot and flew top cover for the ascension . They might let you look at them though probably not borrow them.

That for the help I have sent an email to one of the local society's regarding the mentioned issues I have also trawled though Ebay but both to no avail at present.
Steamjohn248 maybe you could let me know of the society's that you mention so that I could maybe get a photocopy.
