This may be useful to all on this section of the board. 1450.fotopic.net/341 photos in total, full size image is hidden, click on screen image for access to full size photo (or press full size at bottom of page). To save time if you want them all at screen size (which is clear enough anyway), click slideshow and come back in an hour or 2, go to temp internet folder (they'll start with ?iid=) and copy them all to my documents or wherever. GWRJ issue 22 has a useful drawing which photocopies 400% with clarity if your photocopier is good.

Hi Simon - It would be good to hear progress on your 1450. I'm building a 57xx (5"). I'm interested in adding extra working features and avoiding the slightly clunky LBSC backhead details. Any good tips on sourcing drawings for more realistic GWR valves, gauges etc?
Cheers
Matt

I've had a phase of Paget research intermingled with re-learning how to make biodiesel, oh, and I've bought another Lister CS diesel! The works drawing I have for the 14xx is literally covered with measurements, I suppose a day or 2 would see a complete CAD side elevation which I could then do individual sheets of specific detail drawings. I draw stuff as the draughtsmen used to do the side elevations, the ones you can see everything even if as hidden detail dashed lines. I could scan a few sheets and upload them to my Fotopic site. Didcot have a lot of works drawings, I'll try to find my list for the 14xx and see if there is any backhead bits. I havent made anything, I've got the castings, most I might sell on as they are not right for my detailed model. I also bought everything for the boiler including the silver solder. Basically too many projects competing for my time! I also have a boat to finish off....
