britannia 3 1/2" motion plates

at the moment i am trying to reserect a 3 1/2" britannia,could i make the motion plates,also which regulator is best as LSBC shows atleast two types,the outside lever with front regulator box looks really hard to make,but it would be more in keeping with the prototype

Hi furber,

My Britannia had the internal regulator fitted, I know on the full size engines that they had to add supports to the regulator rodding to prevent it bending.

Grandad actually altered the LBSC design at a later stage so that the regulator handle moved in the horizontal plane; pulling it back shut the regulator. This was the result of a previous 'runaway' incident.
