Valve Gear Design

Help:
Some years ago Prof. W.B. Hall published an article on designing Walschaerts & Stephenson valvegear. Can anyone help with the derivation of the 'A' & 'B' components developed from the 'cut-off', max 'port-opening', and full gear 'lead' ?

Not specifically, but I do have a copy of the valve gear design software that he devised.

I could probably send that as an email attachment if it will help.

I have a dos version of bill halls program, if yours is a windows version it would be useful. but I have an interest in the derivation of his formula.
