Does anyone know of a designer/supplier for a 4" Clayton?
A freind has picked up one and it needs a set of wheels and the crosshead is more of a pressing rather than a casting (= it leaks oil!) Anyone know of this design of Clayton and any advice as to other things he needs to look out for?

I thought the 4" Clayton was Robin Dyers 2" design, x 2.

Yes, So did I.
But who ever made this one has changed some of the parts and they look decidedly made to a budget hence the thought that someone may have made a batch of these.
The owner is also looking for a supplier of Clayton wheel castings in 4". Does anyone know who may have suitable patterns available?

Hi, do you mean as in a 4" clayton and shuttleworth traction engine? If so my dad build one and is building another two. He gets casting and materials from a bloke in the midlands but cant remember his name off the top of my head.
