Matrix clutches were available for fitting to the colchester master. Could they have also fitted its smaller brother?

thanks jo i decided not to buy the lathe
I went to look at the lathe which was supposed to have had little wear.
Noticed it had no clutch so it would need a heavy duty converter
First question from me, has the lathe been checked by you
Dealer no its from a school its as new
So I got out test bar and dial indicator
Mandrill 1 thow of play, tail stock 3 thow lift on barrel, the tailstock wheel had 1/4 inch wobble ( I wonder how the tail stock is in a worse condition than my 60 year old myford if the bantam had no use. I suspect its never been lubricated in its 30 year life)
Open the main gear cover the grease had gone hard,
Seller comments just need adjusting just look at that bed its lovely,
Moved the saddle to uncover to black marks where rust had been cleaned off, top slide had about 40 though of play in the nut
I walked away and thanked my lucky stars that I lost the ebay auction and was offered it on a second chance offer which made me very suspicious an why I inspected the lathe first
from now on I will always inspect first befor bidding
