I've just bought a used one (on Ebay) but without manual. It looks effectively identical to the Axminster ZX25M Machine Mart were unhelpful about supplying a manual. Does anyone have one which they would be prepared to photo copy? (I'm in the UK) I also need to know the correct length of the V belts as there is insufficient motor swing with the current belts to change the speed without a struggle.

Please ignore previous requests.
I spoke to another man at Machine Mart today who was the complete opposite of yesterday's. He was extremely helpful and is photocopying the manual and sending it, all free of charge. Belts should be A38 & A31 - mine were A38 and A30.
Fasteners are BSW with metric sized hex. heads which is the complete opposite of those used on some parts of vintage Morris cars which has metric threads but Whitworth sized heads

Glad to hear you found a helpfull chappy
If when you get it up and running you find vibration a problem its always worth considering changing the fixed length v-belts for link type belting. This can be made up to any length you want and effectively eliminates vibration from single phase motors.
This tip came from an old boy at Myford many years ago and certainly cured my problems.

Hi All,
I was contemplating buying the Clarke CMD 1225C Miller but I have been advised that the Sealey SM25 may be a better buy. It is certainly a bit more expensive but the spec looks very similar to the Clarke machine other than the Sealey weighs in at 200KG and the Clarke at 167KG.
I have been advised that Sealey may do a better after sales service.
Would be grateful for advice of anyone's experiences.
Regards
Jim
