Excuse me for being particularly dim this weekend, but has anyone out there changed to a quick change tool post for their Warco WM600 lathe.
If so how do you change the mounting plate on the top slide. I have removed the 4 way tool post but the plate that has to be replaced does not want to slide out. The only thing that i can see holding it in place is the spring loaded stop.
I can't see how to remove them has anyone any clues?
Yours desperate to start creating swarf.

The plate on my Warco 1327 top-slide was held in by a socket-headed grub-screw at the the front of the compound slide. Could it be the same on the WM600 ? The sldes look about the same.

Ring Warco for any advice, they're usually pretty helpful even if you did'nt buy the said parts off them.

Actually, i did that but there may be more than one design. Anyhow last night i took hold of the indexing plunger and it popped straight out, allowing the adaptor to slide out. Funny how i could not move it last Sunday. Everything Ok now toolpost working fine.
