I am just wondering if anyone has or knows if anybody has built a 3" Devonshire single crank compound burrel traction engine as i am thinking of building one.

Hi Tom,
This is 2 years later so it might be 'old hat' now and you may well have found your answer elsewhere but I have built a 3" Burrell SCC Devonshire Engine. It works as a compound, has a steel Briggs boiler and easily hauls 2 adults (self and wife) +50 litres
of water for longer runs.
