I bought an angle grinder stand at the ME exhibition some years ago. I was a little disappointed because, while the main elements (alloy diecastings) were adequate, the base was a cheesy steel pressing that turned out to be very flexible. Even so, the set-up sort of worked OK for the odd job. Anyway, I see that Lidl has an angle grinder stand as one of its special offers from 12/5/08 — see here: www.lidl.co.uk/uk/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20080512.p.Angle_Grinder_Stand.ar2Interestingly, they emphasise that it has a cast iron base. May be worth a reccy if you're after one of these. At £7.99 it shouldn't strain the purse strings too much.

As I'm not going to Harrogate, I may have to console myself with one of these! (pending a good look to see how flimsy it is)
Certainly for £8 I wonder how anybody makes any sort of profit as their stuff is not usually too shoddy.
