My 12v to 240v inverter, used for campervan TV, has packed up. Does anyone know of a source of a reasonably cheap replacement? The prices of the caravan trade ones are horrific.

Malcolm, Have you tried Maplin: www.maplin.co.ukChances are the power stage has died. It might be worth simply changing the power devices and checking any associated components. Also worth thinking about what killed it. The problem is either dead simple for someone that knows about this stuff or just impossible. Maplin may also do the components needed to mend it. Either way it could cost more than a new one to get it fixed professionally |

Obviously depends upon how much power you want and the "quality" of the waveform
However if you want a small "cheap 'n nasty" one then B&Q are currently doing a 150watt one for under £20
