Received today, 5/6/08, Notification from Administrators that MODEL WORKS INTERNATIONAL (SALES)LIMITED, Is now in `Administration', Half expected this, with the delay to kit fourteen of the Duchess ! Which i have paid for.
Anyone got any idea if Kit 14 was produced, i did phone MW two weeks ago and they said it would be dispatched soon, this was two days before the date they went into administration,

If I were you I would contact the administrator at once, tell him you have paid for kit 14 and please would he despatch it immediately. If you are close enough to Daventry insist on picking it up in person.

If you paid by credit card (not debit card) also contact your card issuer since they have joint liability along with ModelWorks. I imagine they will pressure the administrator for you. You might however want to encourage the cc company to refund all your payments as 14/24th of a loco is no use.

Just read this about MW's, I know its of no help to you but I'm not surprised. I will keep my eye on this to see how it pans out as if all goes to the wall I may be able to help to get the models finished. Let's see what happens.

just to clarify the above I believe thats all Modelworks 5" gauge locos. The 7.25" gauge locos have gone elsewhere.

The 7.25" gauge designs have gone to Wilkev Engineering in Coventry, proprietor Mr K Brown.

Ah yes...
I did read that somewhere.
Do Wilkev Engineering have a website. I ahve searched and searched but only found addresses for the building.
Would be interesting to see what they will be producing in the future
