I found today that Leyland SDM who have several branches in London have a fair range of flat stock and the like in black and bright MS. Not only are the prices reasonable (I think less than the prices some of the usual suspects charge) but they stock in 1m lengths which is rather handy when you need longer than the 12 or 24 inches that many ME suppliers stock but less than the full lengths a steel stock holder supplies.
