I am not building this model but I have been asked to supply a full set of rods and valve gear made as close to scale as possible to replace those contained in the kit. I have modelled them closely on those on Nigel Greasly and measurements taken from Mallard. Of course the constraint is that they must replace the existing so some dimensions can't be changed e.g. the centre distances of bushes. Since scale thickness means that they are very slender, I have made them from a high tensile steel. I know there is only a handful of these kits but if any of you is interested in making your loco look significantly better I can help. Send me a PM.
