I have recently picked up an unfinished Burrell Stream Traction Engine, believed to be a 2" Devonshire.
Dimensions - Boiler 31/2" diameter Front wheels 53/8" without tyres Rear wheels 83/4" without tyres
I am trying to locate the manufacturer, for castings and drawings.
Can anyone help, please.

It's definatley not a 2" devonshire.
I have drawings for a 1 1/2" devonshire.
The boiler barrell diameter is 3 1/2". The rear wheel diameter is 9" over strakes. The front wheel diameter is 5 1/2" over strakes.
If you post some pics of the parts you have, i am sure somebody might be able to tell you what it is.
Hope this helps.

The only company that I can think of that produce 2" Burrells are MJ Engineering and they only do the showmans and Gold Medal Tractor which is not far off the sizes you have. Its possible some parts were used on both engines by Burrell so you may be able to use or modify some of MJ's castings though I thought the Devonshire was bigger Alan's quite knowledgeable on whats available both past & present so may be worth giving him a call or e-mail www.mjeng.co.uk/Jason

Have a look at this thread on how to post photos modeleng.proboards20.com/index.cgi?board=Images&action=display&thread=1627You will need to have the pics on a hosting site such as photobucket then follow what it says in the link. However I think this forum will not allow you to post pics until you have a certain number of posts (to stop spammers). You can always send the pics to me and I will put them up for you, click on my name in yellow and it will allow you to send me a private message or e-mail with the pics straight from your computer.
