I saw my first Modelworks Britannia in steam today at my club it did not run today it was in steam for its boiler steam certificate she already passed her hydraulic test a few months back. I must say they are very impressive indeed, the owner has painted her in Black apparently one did appear in Black and I think its a stunning looking loco. The only part not finished is the cab which needs painting then its complete and ready for next seasons running

There's nothing like seeing something new for the first time for getting you gee'd up on your own projects. I hope the owner has lots of fun!

This is Ted's Britannia - I've mentioned it a number of times on my website. He did steam it a week or so ago but had a bogie derailment. He does intend to paint it green - he just sprayed it black all over to protect it from rust before steaming, and I wish I'd done the same with mine!
Regards,
John

Hi Spamcanman, I'm not planning to steam my Brit again this season - now that I know it runs OK, I've started to dismantle it for painting in readiness for next season. There's a photo of a third Modelworks Brit on my website at www.britanniabuilder.co.uk/steaming.htm#24908Regards, John

Here is another delightful photo from JJ's website. If my Brit looks like that I will be well chuffed! JB

did anybody that went to the Alexandra Palace Show see the 71/4" Winson Britannia on display next to it was also a rolling chassis of the same I spoke with it's owner he told me he done many improvements that we already know about with the 5" and has been regularly running it at his club with no problems, to think it was a kit is quite unbelievable.
