Um, no, not gauge 1. Used to do a bit of 009 when I was a nipper but driving my own stuff appealed more.
Besides, I couldn't afford the attrition rate of 16BA taps in Gauge 1....
Got one of Tom Rolt's cylinders all brazed up today - photos to follow when I've scraped them out of the camera.

Well here we go - stage 1. Brazed the steam pipe flange and the exhaust guide (Kordina?) on to the steam chest using high temp silver solder: Then the steam chest, cylinder bore and end flanges were stuck together with Easiflo 2 (no photo, sorry) and then in a third heat, the steam chest power bulge was brazed on, again with Easiflo 2. (The second cylinder power bulge was done at the second heat stage.) The assembly was then machined a bit to get the exhaust section to fit properly, and then brazed with Easiflo 2: And then dunked in dilute sulphuric: A profitable winter break, methinks. Machining has just started.
