Hello all, im currently looking into some smaller scale (sm32) loco projects and i was wondering what others were doing to produce the rivet detail on the cab pannels ect, im thinking of building an arbor press and making up some punch tooling to form the head patterns, what are you all doing? and does anyone already sell such tooling? regards ben

Hi Ben, Yes, they are available commercially. I picked one up off Ebay with a load of OO gauge stuff but can't remember who makes them (age you know ) If I remember who makes them I'll let you know"! John Knew I'd seen it somewhere! www.metalsmith.co.uk/rivet-embossing-tool.htm
