Hi all,
I've been offered an old Denham lathe which a friend bought many years ago (ex-MOD). It's been lying in his garage ever since still covered in protective 'goo'.
I haven't had chance to look at it yet but apparently it was reconditioned before he bought it. It sounds very much like the Mk2 with the roller bearing headstock, clutch etc. I've read the details on Lathes UK and it looks quite a nice machine. Does anyone have any practical experience of them?

Baggo,
How do you set about getting 'offered a lathe'? Sounds like some sort of utopia to me?

Nah, you just have to look poverty stricken and mention in the right company that you could do with a bit bigger lathe ;D

John Do you want a copy of the Denham Junior handbook/parts list?

Hi Richard, that would be useful thank you. I haven't been to see the lathe yet so I'm not sure what the exact model is. The owner is not sure either as he bought it 40 years ago and it's been in bits buried in the garage since! John
