A number of questions and an appeal for information.
Does anyone know if the cross slide feed screw was made in one or two pieces?
I have a copy of the manual from 1967 and it shows two different part numbers. One number (8435) with the ACME thread and the other (8350) with the pinion and spline for the handwheel. However my example looks to be one piece.
The reason is that my Colchester fell over in transit and bent the feed screw where it sticks out of the saddle. If it is two pieces I can make up/find a new front part as the ACME thread and nut are in good condition.
The other alternatives are to straighten the shaft, but I am not sure how straight I can get it. Any suggestions?
Or does someone have an old feedscrew with the handwheel spline undamaged? Then I could splice the two together
Other damaged parts are the saddle handwheel, cross-slide screw keep (8620)
And the last one is an L0 faceplate.
New parts are out of my price range.
