Hi there
I have started this thread so I can ask questions on behalf of readers without internet access. This wll avoid multiple threads I hope. Feel free to post questions that are about models and plans as well.

First question.
Plan no M26 by Sidney Owen. Grasshopper beam engine.
Are castings available. If so, who from?

Hi David,

according to the construction articles, Sydney made his own patterns so presumably had his own parts cast by a local foundry or similar. The flywheel casting is the same as the ME beam engine. None of the usual suppliers mention this particular engine although Brunell and Polly advertise castings for different Grasshopper engines.
