Lovely. Keep us posted with progress.
I have the sets of bevels for a 7 1/4" and a 15" version, plus a few bits of steel work started when enthusiasm reigned over reality. One day...

Excellent work. Are you building from the book? please keep the pics coming thanks colin Hi Colin yes I'm trying to go by the book but when you use his scaling factor 2.07 it leaves you with some odd dimensions like 3 decimal points. On the crankcase his one is not in keeping with any prototypes I have seen (photo's) so I went about fabricating one up (similar to the American castings that Nelsons do but in the right scale for me. Crank now in it's bearings in the crankcase and has been spinning in the lathe for an hour with no hot spots. So now to make a start on the trunk guides (done the drawings) but I can't use Kozo's design as that won't go with the crankcase Paul

Most impressive Paul - I don't know why, but at the back of my mind I had you down as "one-of-them" - the armchair brigade. Great to see your superb workmanship - puts me to shame.

Hi DJ Had to raise the feet on the armchair so I could reach the mill controls, also Iv'e put castors on it now I can zoom between the mill and lathe. Talking about putting to shame I'm still amazed at the speed you got your track built.

Not going to hijack your great thread here Paul, but yes, even I was amazed that we built the track in 7 weeks flat.
