Hi, I am trying to find a good small powerfull quite miller, no cogs, big table 600 x 180. I have had a look at the chester mill drill but it is too big for the shed. Could any recommend a suitable machine.
Thanks

G'day Cyclops Perhaps somebody could keep an eye out for you. See if you can get a response from Dr John, try PM, he has a larger bench top mill of Chinese manufacture. I'm sure that if it was too bad he would let us know. You don't want a one eyed report. Regards, Ian

Hi Cyclops - and Ian, are you on commission from China? ;D My one is sold in the UK as the Warco Major (I think) - weighs in around 300 kilos and is magnificently rigid - table is 700 x 200 - to give you an idea of the size, this is a picture of it beside a 5 foot dwindie (a sort of gnome from the Philippines! ) To mix my metaphors, it's 3' 6" tall. If you can winkle it into your workshop, I doubt you'd regret it - I had to take it to pieces to get it into my little shop! DJ
