drawing says mark out the 2 holes 6-32?? and then again 1 hole 3-48?? looks as though 4mm would do the trick but never come across this before. any experts out there to enlighten me.

These are American threads , 6-32 is gauge 6 , 32 threads per inch , its equivalent to 4 BA , in metric will be 3.5. 3-48 is gauge 3 , 48 threads per inch .is close to 7BA , in metric will be 2.5. I hope this is of help.
