Does anyone know what has happened to Fyne Fort? Their Website is still running, but E.mails bounce and their phone appears to be disconnected.

I read somewhere that the owner was ill and in hospital. That was several weeks ago.
Not sure what the present situation is.

I contacted Model Engineering magazine last week with the same question. I was informed that there had been a bereavement in the family last year and they would be no longer trading.

I heard a tale that Fyne Fort is/was up for sale to include all remaining stock and machinery, anyone else heard this or know if the bussiness has been purchased? Are we going to see this well known brand retrun?

I was one of FFF's principle stockists here is the US for a number of years, until the availability of fittings and deliveries became so unpredictable that I was unable to continue. In the best of times the family ran a marine maintenace and supply service at Cowes and the fittings were an off-season occupation for them. Large runs of fittings would be made at rather long intervals and between runs the supply might be exhausted, sometimes resulting in a long wait for the next run to occur. I can only confirm what has been mentioned above, that ill-health caused the discontinuance of trading, and that has been a few years now. I've not heard anything of an offer for sale of the assets. If anyone does come up with more current information, especially on the dispoosal of the fittings business assets, I'd be interested to hear it.

Yes, it must have been. The tooling certainly indicates a much more sophisticated and well-equipped operation than I ever suspected.
