Hi, Is there anybody here started to build the new build serial of the 31/2"Q1 Southern loco 'Charlie' in ME I have decided to build one myself. I would rather build it for 5" so here's my question if I got the plans scaled up for 5" who could do that? I will start the loco very soon (as I have nothing to do) so may start a new build thread if enough response is out there.  |

I've often wondered if anyone had gone to the trouble of making the chain driven valve gear for the original Bullied Pacifics, I now see from this site that they have.

Rob is a member of our club but due to spending so much time on
constructing a most wonderful new track and stations etc.
Has had little time to spend on his model. I saw it last in 2000 at a local exhibition.
They are impressive at this size, and with some asking at Poly they may do some enlarged cut out bits as everything should be on computer.

Last visit to track was very wet, wifes first visit to track, not very impressed.

If you are thinking of building this make sure you check the drawings. The Northumbrian already has at least half a dozen errors or missing dimensions and there have only been 10 or so components published.
ME's site has a section for both locos so worth a look before you cut any metal.
