I can highly recommend Signal Fuels for there steam coal I have used there 'beans' for a few years now and regularly stock up on a few bags when I go to either Harrogate or The Fosse.
some of my club mates think I'm mad (and the misses) when I tell them I wash my coal and dry it out on the patio before using ;D

If it was from an underground mine it will have been washed already to take any dirt bands out.
If it was opencast mined, any dirt bands / shale inclusions etc will have been removed seperately.
Either way, there is no pont in washing it yourself, and any dust will help it catch when you put it into the fire!

Hi Nigel, Thank you for your nice recommendation. We will be at the Midlands show this year, but have'nt quite finalised prices as new supplies/prices come in from 1st October, from our suppliers.... but it will still be cheap at twice the price! (only joking) I will contact you at the beginning of October with prices. Kind regards, Trevor.
