Jason, Hey thanks for the heads up on the downloads. Just joined that site yesterday and the download part was what pushed me towards the subscription, Plus what David's done with both magazines.

HI, my father took ME in the USA from 1959-1991, when he died i didn't renew, i was thinking of starting anew.Is it worth it, very expensive? Saw the ME website, can you download pervious issues, say from the 40's and 50's.I could not move all my fathers issues so i sold them.i miss them, they were great reading. My father lived 3000 miles away from me so i couldn't afford to move anything except the vital things like a Myford ML7 lathe and a Drill press.He also had a large chinese mill which i had to sell to pay for his cremation, i was just married and broke.Now i'm retired and broke, ha.

As far as I know, Model Engineer dont hold copies of back issues, beyond, perhaps, the current year.
However, old issues are readily available, and cost little. However, the postage/carriage is the biggest expense and can make it uneconomic. Specifically, carriage from the UK to US, costs an inordinate amount.
If you do decide you want specific issues, years, let me / us know as I have many duplicates, as do other people.
With regard to the present content, I suggest looking at a few issues before subscribing.
Some prefer the older magaziines and dont like the present content, others feel the opposite, so it is a personal choice.
