Anyone got the latest issue of MEW on subscription ?
Has anyone seen it in any of the usual places eg W.H.Smith, Model Shops, etc ?

I managed to get through to M.E offices today, spoke to the marketing manager, TONY ROBERTSON , he assured me , WE WILL ALL RECEIVE OUR MAGAZINE within the week,he admited they had been taken over, and, hopefully our magazines should be back on track next month ,(march). He even offered to post me a complimentory copy. So guys, if he is not giving me a load of bull---- we should be able to put this thread to bed.
Let's keep all our bodily parts crossed.

Both ME and MEW dropped through my letterbox this morning. One thing I noticed was the word Nonsense heading Smoke Rings in ME. This was written in the second week of January but it seems that the editors were confident that both mags would continue. Indeed I read in MEW that this magazine would be 10 magazines a year instead of 8. I wonder if this still stands? Lets hope that all settles down and we can look forward to receiving both mags regularly.
All the best
Brian

Latest issue of ME (4266) and MEW (112) arrived today so all, so far, is back to normal. My account details are back on "Subs" web-site and I see, from the latest MEW, that you can get 21 issues for the price of 16 so may take them up on the offer.
Noticed that MEW is changing from (historic ?) 8 issues per annum to 10 per annum. I remember the "real historic" when it changed from the original 4 issues per year (Stan Bray editor) to 6 issues.
Very bullish editorial in 4266 ME. More power to their "spanish archer".

Next issue of ME arrived today 4267. There's another mention in the editorial about the new owners. It looks as if things are now getting back to normal after the recent turmoil. So I would expect MEW to start getting better too.

I'm still waiting for MEW 112- the subscription line said it should have gone out on 3rd Feb and have said they are posting me another copy to-day!

Hi there
My subscription magazines have started arriving but I had a call from the subscriptions dept yesterday, 14/02/06, to tell me I wasn't going to get issue 4263 despite them having told me they'd sent a copy out on two separate occasions. Apparently they now have no stock of this issue and there are two on their way to me, which I have yet to see! They have kindly agreed to extend my subscription to cover this shortfall but it leaves me with a gap which they are unable to satisfy.
Anyone got an issue 4263 they'd be prepared to sell me? I will be happy to pay cover price, or less if you're feeling generous ;D, plus postage.
Cheers
Brian

Picked up a copy of MEW in WHsmiths in Cardiff yesterday. There looked to be a good pile of 7 or 8 copies left.
Cheers

Guys,
The 'just received' EiM has a letter of the month featured in the Editorial. This gives what is described as an accurate description of what happened during the transition of ME & MEW to Encanta and includes a sort-of time line.
