Peter's Railway and the Forgotten Engine. In the Third book, Peter and his Grandpa extend the line to Yockletts village and find a long lost engine. There are lots of technical explanations, including, how gears work, a bourdon tube pressure gauge, a governor and how the engine uses steam more efficiently by linking up..... If you have a young member of the family who is interested in railways or engineering in general, then this is the book for you! Most easily available direct from www.petersrailway.com/book-shop.aspxor by post from Chris Vine, PO Box 9246 (MEF), Bridge of Weir, PA11 3WD. (price £11.99 + £1.50 P&P. £13.49 total). Hope it goes down as well as the first two did.....! Regards Chris.

Chris my sons love the books. However the down side is they're now assessing where / how / when ( ) Daddy can assemble a similar track around front garden and or village green!!! Dad is less enthusiastic at this prospect!
