Hi
Has anyone obtained any recent prices for a Simplex boiler, how much would I be looking at for one?
Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike, Ive just ordered one from Western Steam and their quote was :-
"Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. Your boiler built to drawing will > cost £1276.00 ex works. Delivery 30 weeks. Small changes and > additional bushes can be accommodated at extra cost."
SteamTechnology were a bit more expensive but quicker delivery:- " The price for the boiler SIMPLEX 5" is £ 1385 Plus Delivery.
The boiler Comes with:
* bushes.includes. * Pressure TEST Certificate. * Pressure vessels directive Certificate 97/23 EC * Full ce marked * Quality Certificate.
The boiler are guaranteed for 30 Years (The welds).
The estimated delivery time is 6 Weeks."
Since I wont be ready for the boiler until, at the earliest, next summer, Western Steam were my choice! Hope this helps Nigel

Thank you very much for that Nigel, not a bad price from Western Steam, I know their workmanship is first class.
Cheers,
Mike

As a matter of interest, I've had two boilers from Western Steam in the past few years, a Simplex and a Hunslet, both were delivered in less time than the original quote, in the case of the Simplex one, considerably so. Their workmanship is first class. Ron
